Chairman's Welcome
A Note from Ken Blackwell, Co-Chair of Save Our Secret Ballot
What a great year!
The Save Our Secret Ballot Amendment passed overwhelmingly in November’s elections, appearing on the ballot in Arizona, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Utah. The victories in these four states come in the midst of continued efforts by President Obama and Congressional Democrats to pass the Employee Free Choice Act, also known as “card check,” controversial legislation that would allow unions to organize any business of ten or more virtually overnight. Such legislation could have dire effects on the American economy in the midst of an already wobbly recovery. Union activists predict that if passed, card check would help to triple union membership, greatly expanding Big Labor’s budget for political activism.
But the voters have spoken, and we won’t let that happen. That’s why Save Our Secret Ballot will now turn its attention to other key states, where we know the Save Our Secret Ballot Amendment will be as successful as it was this fall. Those states include Florida, Michigan, and my own homestate of Ohio.
Please help us spread the fundamental right to a secret ballot today, by joining the Save Our Secret Ballot movement. Your vote is your secret—and your right.
